What You Need to Do Before Taking the Pill

• Contact your doctor and inform him about your intent to use the pill. You would be given proper advice if the pill is suited for you and would be advised of the right dosage appropriate for your age and condition.
• You also have to tell your physician about your medical history, the drugs you are currently taking if any, and your current health condition especially if you have heart diseases, kidney and liver problems, eye problems, and allergies against certain drugs, food, preservatives and even from sildenafil itself.
• If you are taking drugs that contain nitrates, it is advisable that you inform your physician about this because men who are taking drugs with nitrates are prohibited to use pills for erectile dysfunction such as Eriacta.

How to Take the Pill

Eriacta can be taken orally with a glass of water an hour before actual sexual intercourse. Eriacta must not be taken more than once within 24 hours. And for safety reasons, the dosage that would be taken must only be based on the doctor's advice.

When to Call Your Doctor

• If you notice that you had a change of vision or difficulty in seeing things right after taking the pill, contact your health care provider right away.
• If the erection lasts more than 4 hours or if it gets to be painful, you should also call your doctor immediately as these are signs of serious health problems and could cause permanent or debilitating health risks.
• If you start to experience signs of dizziness, nausea, or any pain in chest or arm after taking the pill, do not proceed with your sexual activity and call your doctor instead for proper advice.
• You also have to know that taking pills for erectile dysfunction such as Eriacta will not protect you and your partner against HIV and other sexually transmitted infections.

Side Effects

• Upset stomach
• Mild headache
• Flushing and redness of the face
• Diarrhea
• Runny nose

The mentioned side effects are normal and do not require medical attention.

However if the side effects persist, call your doctor right away. Also experiencing the following symptoms requires you to contact your doctor immediately:

• Difficulty in breathing
• Changes in hearing
• Sudden change in vision such as blurred vision and color differentiation
• Symptoms similar to allergic reaction like skin rashes, swelling in the different areas of the face and itching
• Chest pains
• Palpitation or irregular heartbeat
• Seizure
• An erection lasting more than 4 hours
• Painful erection
