Dosage and Precautions

Vigora comes in the form of a 100 mg pill which should be taken orally with a glass of water. This medicine should be taken at least an hour before any sexual activity. It is better to consult a doctor before you start on this drug .It is better to follow your doctor's advice regarding the dosage and precautions to be followed while using this drug. If a certain dose does not give you the required results consult your doctor who may increase the dosage as required. Never change the dosage on your own discretion.

Avoid excessive use of alcohol and high fat foods while using this drug as it may interfere with its performance. Avoid recreational drugs as they are found to interact with this medicine. This medicine does not protect you and your partner against HIV related infections or other sexually transmitted diseases.

It is advisable that you inform your doctor about any drugs or dietary supplements you may be using before you start taking this medicine.

Who Should Avoid This Drug

Persons with a history of heart disease, angina, heart attack or any other heart ailments.

Persons with high or low blood pressure.

Persons who have had a stroke.

Persons suffering from kidney or liver infections.

Persons suffering from blood related problems like haemophilia, sickle cell anaemia, and leukaemia.

Persons having vision or eye problems.

Persons who have this rare inherited eye disease retinitis pigmentosa.

Persons having peyronies disease.

Persons having an allergy to the chemical Sildenafil citrate.

Persons having an allergy to certain drugs, foods, dyes and preservatives.

Vigora is not recommended for people who take nitrates as it may cause a sudden rise or dip in blood pressure.

Some Common Side Effects That Need No Medical Attention

Minor visual problems.

Dizziness.

Headache.

Muscle ache.

Indigestion.

Diarrhoea.

Flushing.

Stuffy or runny nose.

These side effects are common and need not be taken seriously. If they continue to bother you after an hour or more consult your doctor.

Side Effects That Need To Be Reported To Your Doctor

Fast and irregular heart beat.

Breathlessness or difficulty in breathing.

Blurred vision or sudden loss of vision.

Trouble differentiating the colour blue from green.

Chest pain.

Changes in hearing.

Sudden rise or dip in blood pressure.

Seizures.

Prolonged or painful erection. That is if the erection lasts more than 4 hours.

Allergic reactions like itching rashes hives or swelling of the lips face and other parts of the body.

If you experience any of these side effects discontinue usage of this medicine immediately and consult your doctor.

Drugs That May Interact With This Medicine

It is found that certain drugs may interact with the chemical Sildenafil Citrate which is the key ingredient of the drug Vigora. You should avoid such drugs when you take this medicine.

Other Sildenafil products like Revatio, Aurogra, and Kamagra etc.

Nitrates like amyl nitrate, isosorbide dinitrate, isosorbide mononitrate, Methscopolamine nitrate, Nitroprusside etc.

Cisapride.

Certain drugs prescribed for liver infections.

Certain drugs used to control blood pressure.

Antibiotics like erythromycin, clarithromycin, troleandomycin, etc. Certain drugs used to treat fungal or yeast infections like fluconazole, itraconazole, ketoconazole, voriconazole.

Certain drugs used to control seizures like carbamazepine, phenytoin, and phenobarbital.

It is advisable to inform your health care provider about any drug or dietary supplement you may be using at the time.

There is a possibility of this drug interacting with certain recreational drugs and alcohol, so avoid them.

Storage

Always store at room temperature between 15 to 30 degree centigrade. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Discard after expiry.
